Confessions of a Blogger

It's confession time.  The one thing I knew would happen but wasn't prepared for was the natural desire to be transparent on this blog.  So here it goes.


In my own defense I've been pretty sick the last week or so.  Haven't gotten much accomplished besides laying around and helping Kleenex stock improve.  Fortunately with being sick I haven't had much of an appetite... until Sunday.


Thankfully I was feeling up to keeping our monthly date with an amazing couple we've become great friends with.  We splurged and got pizza to enjoy a late lunch together.  Then my girl, Karita, and I spent the afternoon recycling old shirts into amazing jewelry!  Check out the photo below of just one shirt we converted!
















As if eating as much pizza as I could hold wasn't enough we ventured out for a yummy dinner!  At least I tried to go with somewhat healthy choices like grilled chicken and boiled potatoes.  Only problem is the chicken was loaded with cheese, bacon, and bbq sauce and the potatoes were covered in butter!  Ha!  I try not to dwell on that part!


So after totally oinking over my meals on Sunday I decided not to weigh myself today... didn't want to discourage myself!  I even missed today's fitness class because I was at the doctor's office all afternoon!  One of those sit and wait situations I'm sure many of you are familiar with!  Thank goodness I have a hubby who takes care of me, some good vitamins, and some antibiotics to get me back on track!


Hopefully this blog helps you get to know me a little more.... and even tell you someone with a blog titled "Fit n' Fabulous" isn't perfect and even has not-so-fabulous days... so when you have those days don't beat yourself up... lift that chin high, put a smile on that face, and pick up where you left off!

Big plans for the Fit n' Fabulous blog!

Many of you have asked exactly what I'll be blogging about since the launch a few days ago... well I have big plans and I'm so excited to get the ball rolling!


First, I will be documenting some of my own journey... my diet, exercise, and progress... the ups and downs... the things I learn along the way.


I'll also be having guest bloggers!!  Super excited about this part!  I'll have experts in all areas giving advice and sharing stories!


Additionally, I'll be including health & beauty tips, recipes, specific exercises, fun activities, and everything to do with making yourself Fit n' Fabulous!


Lastly, I'll be teaming with Fitness For Women to host our very own contest!  Details to come soon!  Yay!

My First Post!!!!

Hello everyone!  Hope your year is off to an amazing start!... mine sure is!  :)  Some of you already know I was lucky enough to be in a "Biggest Loser" type contest with Alex Michele Photography out of Florida.  Apparently this was just the kick in the butt I needed to get myself in gear!


Some of you have asked about my weight loss so far... well here it is!... I started at 158 lbs on January 5th and today (January 10th) I'm down to 154 lbs!!  I've lost 4 lbs in 6 days!!  And I'm just getting my momentum... stepped up the water and exercise today!  (More about that later!)


I hope you'll follow my blog and check back often... I'll be documenting my journey of weight loss, becoming fit, more confident, eating better, and becoming an overall better person... all thru the eyes of an everyday gal like me!  My goal is to encourage all women to become Fit n' Fabulous!
